Mr. Arthur L. Debro was born on July 5, 1948, to Mr. William Henry Debro and Mary Lucille (Leonard) Debro. Arthur was educated in the school system of Nash County, North Carolina. After school, Arthur made his way south and got into logging. While in Valdosta, he met and married Mendell Turner Debro, and they had two children. In June of 2019, Arthur moved to Tampa with his daughter when he became ill. On August 3, 2022, God called Arthur from this Earth. He was proceeded in death by his father, William Henry Debro and Mary Lucille (Leonard) Debro; father-in-law, Reverend James Hobbs, Jr.; mother-in-law, Williose Hobbs; wife, Mendell Turner Debro; brothers, James Debro, Robert Debro, Morris Debro, and Thurman Debro; sisters, Millie Debro, Flossie Snow, Ora Lee Leonard, and Mildred Evans. Arthur leaves to cherish his memories: son, Lamont Debro (Esedemar A. Debro); daughter, Stephanie Debro; four grandchildren, Ashantae Kelley, Dajanae D. Debro, Aleeshia A. Debro, and Willie Debro; two great-grandchildren, Aiden Kelley and Kingston Turner; two brothers, William Henry Debro, Jr., and Thomas S. Debro; one brother-in-law, Wilbert Turner; three sisters, Eula Mae Lewis (David L.), Ernestine Debro, Josephine Whitehead (Alvin “Rowe”); one sister-in-law, Anna Davis; three aunts, Rosa Debro, Artie B. Sloan, and Millie Brake; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors who will cherish his memory.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Magnolia Baptist Church @ 10 a.m. Reverend Tony Jackson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery. Public Visitation will be held on Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Gatlin Mortuary.
