It is with profound sorrow, We the Owners, Management and Staff at Gatlin Mortuary Inc. stand along side the Bea family as we announce the earthly transition of Mr. Cory Bea, age 47 who passed into eternal rest on Wednesday July 29, 2020 at his residence.
Mr. Corey Samuel Bea was born on September 11, 1972, in Valdosta, Georgia, to Ronney Bythwood and the late Claudell Bea Alexander. Corey graduated from Valdosta High School in 1990. After graduating high school, he enrolled at Valdosta State University, from which he graduated. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Tanyla Bythwood Calloway, and grandfather, Robert Bythwood. On July 29, 2020, at his residence, Corey entered into peaceful rest. Corey Samuel Bea leaves to cherish his memories: his son, Kendall P. Hicks of Valdosta, GA; father, Ronney (Wanda) Bythwood of Valdosta, GA; sister, Inez (Al) Roach of Dover, Delaware; paternal grandmother, Marjorie Bythwood of Valdosta, GA; brothers, Christopher Bea, Charles Alexander, Jr., of Valdosta, GA, and Ronney (Lynn) Bythwood, Jr., of Dover, Delaware; aunts, Gloria (Evangelist Leroy) Butler of Valdosta, GA and Rosalyn Bythwood of Valdosta, GA; uncles, Ellis (Marilyn) Bea of Mobile, AL and Alfred Bea of Palatka, FL; a special and devoted cousin, Fannie O’Neal of Valdosta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will have a private Graveside service on Saturday, August 8, 2020. Public visitation will be held on Friday, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
