Curtis NeSmith

Curtis Leroy NeSmith, also known as “Pretty Tony” to his friends and family, was born on September 20, 1955 in Quitman, Georgia. He passed away from this life on July 14, 2020 at the age of 64 in Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. He was the son of the late Ernest Brown and Ruby NeSmith Jackson. Curtis was a hard-working man, very loved and adored by many people. He worked at Harrington’s Funeral Home, as well as Steven’s Funeral Home during his years of life. In addition to his parents, Curtis was preceded in death by his two brothers, Carlton NeSmith and Herbert NeSmith (Phylas), both of Valdosta, Georgia. He leaves to cherish his memories: his two lovely sisters, Pamela NeSmith (Donta) and Jenise NeSmith (Tassie). He will forever be missed by his children, Brittany Portillo (Jamari and Armani), Quillion Peeler, Michele Nelson, Nikki Hunter of Valdosta, Georgia, Passion Turner of Atlanta, Georgia, Dominique McKinnon of Tampa, Florida, Tim Williams, and more; a special nephew, Shawn NeSmith; special cousin, Tasha Copeland; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends and family.

Graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at 11 a.m.  in the Southview Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Gatlin Mortuary.
