Mr. Donald Bryant was born on October 29, 1963, in Lowndes County, Georgia, to the late Bobby Bryant and Gladys Bryant. Don attended Valdosta High School in Lowndes County, Georgia, and later Valdosta State University. He was an entrepreneur. Throughout his life, he enjoyed working in different areas such as construction, trucking, restaurant, etc. A true adventurer, he loved to take photos and share with family and friends the many places he visited. Don was a faithful servant of God. Don loved attending church, especially Bethel A.M.E. in Hahira, Georgia and also attending Gospel Train Outreach Ministry where his brother Deacon Gregory Bryant attends. He loved his family and friends wholeheartedly. He would give you the shirt off his back. Don was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Bryant; mother, Gladys Bryant; and one brother, Charlie Bryant. He leaves to cherish his memories: his two sons, Dontez Bryant and Donnell Bryant, both of Maryland; daughter, Shannon Purnell of Maryland; granddaughter, Taniya King of Maryland; two sisters, Tina Matchett (Michael) of Hahira, Georgia, and Nina Qutub of Valdosta, Georgia; seven brothers, Willie Brown of Valdosta, Georgia, Bobby Bryant, Jr. (Linda), of Ray City, Georgia, Gregory Bryant (Loretta) of Lake Park, Georgia, Anthony Bryant (Victoria) of Sacremento, California, Jerald Bryant (Felicia) of Townsend, Georgia, Reginald Bryant of Panama City, Panama, and Cedric Bryant of Valdosta, Georgia; sister-in-law, Norman Sue Rushing ; special loved ones, Nehemiah Lowery and Nuevenia Lowery; lifetime brothers, Paul Stokes and Joe Trapp; A special friend Teresa George. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at The Victory Church in Valdosta, Georgia @ 2 p.m. Pastor Jay Williams is the Pastor, and Pastor Tina Matchett will officiate. Interment will follow in the Pallbearers Cemetery. Public Visitation will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022 at Gatlin Mortuary from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
