Doris Mae Richardson

It is with profound sorrow, We the Owners, Management and Staff at Gatlin Mortuary Inc. stand along side the Richardson family as we announce the earthly transition of Mrs. Doris Mae Richardson age 84 who transitioned into eternal rest on Wednesday November 18, 2020 at her residence.
 

Mrs. Doris Mae Richardson was born in Bellville, FL, to the late Oscar Rayam and Roberta Wright Rayam. She attended the Hamilton county school system. Doris joined Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in 1944, and was a loving and caring woman of God who enjoyed cooking. Doris was preceded in death by her mother, Roberta Wright Rayam; father, Oscar Rayam; son, Willie Richardson, Sr.; granddaughter, Monica Ann Richardson; and grandson, Wille Richardson, Jr. She is survived by: her loving daughter, Martha (Jermaine) Richardson of Nashville, GA; grandchildren, Keith Richardson of Key West, FL, and John (Cameo) Richardson, Marcelle Richardson, Elijah Richardson, and Messiah Richardson, all of Kingsland, GA; five brothers, Willie Rayam of Pinenetta, FL, Samuel (Viola) Rayam of Ocala, FL, Edward (Deloris) Rayam of St.Petersburg, Booker T. Rayam of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Matthew (Rutha Mae) Rayam of Jennings, FL; one sister, Shirley Henderson of Bellville, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives. 

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday November 28, 2020 at the Oak Grove Missionary at 12 noon. Pastor Desmond Nixon will officiate. Interment will follow in the Bethel A.M.E. Church Cemetery. 

Public visitation will be held on Friday at Gatlin Mortuary from 12 noon to 6 p.m.
