Mr. Eugene Maxwell was born on May 22, 1940, to Sam Maxwell, Sr., and Clara Maxwell in Jefferson County, Florida. He passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022.
Eugene was educated in the Brooks County School District in Brooks County, Georgia. He received Christ as his Savior at an early age. He was employed by Livingston Place for forty-five years.
Eugene enjoyed hunting, farming, and being around his family. He loved to plant a garden and would always share his harvest with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Clara Maxwell; brother, Sam Maxwell, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Grace Maxwell.
Eugene leaves to cherish his memories: his dedicated wife, Martha Maxwell; his children, Gwendolyn Turner (Winston), Sylvia Turner (Herman), and Kent Maxwell (Tammy), all of Quitman, Georgia; eight grandchildren, Latonya Maxwell, Kalika Turner, Demetria Turner, Jarvis Turner, Lakeria Turner, Kent Maxwell, Jr., Lakita Vinson, and Jasmine Maxwell; eight great-grandchildren, Derrick Guinyard, Jr., Tyrique Guinyard, Kevin Turner, Demarius Turner, Keandra Mitchell, Jayceon Guinyard, Ayden Guinyard, and Miracle Ross; one great-great-grandchild, Kamron Turner; siblings, Pauline Maxwell (Sonny) and Sammy Lee, both of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; four sisters-in-law, Mary Parker, Mattie Richardson, Maggie Richardson, and Annette Richardson; one brother-in-law, James Richardson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and Friends.
Funeral Service will held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Calvary Christian Center in Quitman, Georgia. Pastor Alonzo Fudge will officiate. Public Visitation will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Gatlin Mortuary.
