Ms. Faye “Suga” Prime was born November 6, 1952, to Leroy and Cora Lee Prime in Valdosta, Georgia. She was baptized at Brays Temple Baptist Church at an early age. She attended Valdosta City School system. Faye Prime retired from the Valdosta Housing Authority after 26 years. Her passion was cleaning, taking care of her flowers, and listening to oldie goldies. She is preceded in death by her mother, father, brother, Willie James, sister, Eloise Mercer, and son-in-law, James Lane. She leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Eric Prime, Catisha (Darrell) Prime, Joann (Johnny) Flucas, Martika Lane, and Joe (Krystle) Wright, Jr.; sisters, Annie (Jimmy) Wright, Deloris (Napolean) Prime, Gay Prime, all of Valdosta, Mary Gordon of Opa-locka, FL, and Dorothy Prime of Milden, LA; sister-in-law, Patricia Prime of Valdosta; three special nieces, Melissa Hillman, Beverly Jackson Brown, and Shakena Berrian; goddaughter, Michelle McKinney and Brittany Phillips; godson, Desmond Grant; special friends, Willie “Key” Booker, Marty Brentise, Mandy Carson, Irvin Davis, Sr., Doretha Duncan, Alene Fulton, Earlin Taylor-Jackson, Cynthia Woodard, and Diane Reed; devoted neighbors, James Howell, Cheryl Wright Pinkney, Johnny Robinson, Ernest Kier, and Joel Robinson; and a host grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.
Graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at 1 p.m. in the Walls Cemetery. Public visitation will be held on Saturday from 12 noon to 6 p.m.
