Frankie Moore Obituary

It is with sincere sympathy that Gatlin Mortuary Inc. announces the passing of Mrs. Frankie Moore.  We are honored to be selected by her family to serve them with excellence through professional service.

Frankie Mae Stewart Moore was born March 13, 1927, to the late Frank and Annie Mae (Prescott) Stewart in Glenmore, Georgia. The firstborn of eight, she was her mother’s helper until Annie Mae’s demise after giving birth to Frankie Mae’s youngest brother. Once so, Frankie Mae began to aid her father with nurturing her brothers and sisters. Soon after her siblings were of age, Frankie met and married Charles Moore. This union was blessed with 14 children and 47 years of love until Charles’ passing in 1992. She was a homemaker for many years, as well as working in the cleaning and food processing industries. After retiring, she found joy and fulfillment in spending most of her time caring for her many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Frankie Mae enjoyed cooking, planting flowers, and attending to her yard. Daily, she found something to cook up, knowing that it would not be long before a knock on the door would come, and she’d be ready to offer a meal. Always having an open door and open heart, everyone that crossed paths with her would leave feeling loved greatly and with a full stomach! “She will be missed dearly but loved forever.” Frankie Mae was predeceased by her parents; husband, Charles Moore, Sr.; sister, Dorothy Keyley; and brothers, James, Joseph, Charlie, Sammuel, and David Stewart. On June 11, 2021, God, in His infinite wisdom, saw fit to crown Mrs. Frankie Mae Stewart Moore with eternal rest. Frankie Mae was graced to leave all of her children living to cherish her memory Her life lives on through: her daughter, Shirley Moten; sons, Ben (Willie Mae) Stewart, Willie Frank (Myra) Moore, George (Leola), Charlie (Laurette), Tommy (Lucille), Shelly (Daphne) Moore, Charles (Sharon) Moore, Jr., Troy (Kim) Moore, Issac Moore, Paul (Gloria) Moore, Sr., Terry (Pamela) Moore, and Leonard Moore, Michael Moore, and W.T.
