God saw you getting tired,
And a cure was not to be;
So he put his arms around you,
And whispered, “Come to me”.
With tearful eyes we watched you,
And saw you pass away;
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands to rest.

Mr. Jimmy Hart, Sr., was born on August 16, 1958, to the Late David Hart and Luneal Hart. He received his education in the Valdosta City School System. Jimmy was a very good brick layer. On February 11, 2022, God saw that Jimmy was getting tired and gently closed his eyes into eternal rest. In addition to his father, Jimmy was preceded in death by aunts, Ester Lee Green, and his uncles, Andrew, Benjamin, and Roy, Sr. He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted children, Jimmy Hart (Edith), Lasonya Gatlin (Kevin), and Craig Gatlin (Deonda); his loving mother, Luneal Hart; his siblings, Joyce Bivins, David Hart, Jr. (Linda), and Natasha Brooklin (Walter); grandchildren, Deandra Hart, Jasmine Hart, Mariah Hart, Diamon Gatlin, Santavious Gatlin, Kevin Jones, and Dasya Sims; great-grandchildren, Layla Hill and Skylar Hill; aunts and uncles, Lucille Morrison, Joe Montgomery (Gwen), Doreatha Marsh, Juanita Wright (Freddie), Annie Doris Hankins, and Joyce Williams; special friends, Phillis Mary, Joe Roberts, Tony Russell, and Cornelius “Shine” Thomas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Morning Star Baptist Church @ 2 p.m. Pastor Naamen Hooker will be officiating. Public Viewing will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Gatlin Mortuary.
