To everything there is a season… A TIME TO BE BORN: Keith Danyell Rowland was born on Sunday, September 11, 1983. He was the first and only son of his mother, Seconda Maria Foster, and the oldest son of his father, Jerry Joe Rowland, Sr. He was a wonderful son to his parents and made them both proud. A TIME TO BE EDUCATED: Keith grew up in Rome, GA and attended the Floyd County school system. He graduated from Rome High School with the class of 2002. A TIME TO LIVE: Although we did not have a long time with Keith, he had a plan for his 38 years. He would tell his childhood friends Dion, his “brother from another mother” since the age of 12, Chris, and David about his plans to become a soldier. When he enlisted, he met his second “brother from another mother,” AJ. Wherever he was stationed, he made military life easier for several of his fellow airmen. Along this path he met his other brothers, Banks, Cooky, Mike, and Quinn. Keith loved making people laugh and had a passion for video games. He was exceptional at anything that required strategy and skill. Although he was amongst the elite with his gift, he would also take the time to teach others. In 2014, Keith met the love of his life, Leticia “Tee” Rowland. They were married in her homeland of Hawaii on July 20, 2019. Keith became a caring loving father to Tristan and Trianna. He, Tee, and the kids resided in Valdosta, GA, where they enjoyed life, their pets, and their Moody Air Force base family until his passing. Along his journey, he experienced pain with the loss of his most cherished loved ones. He was preceded in death by his great grandmothers, Roy and Laura Neal, IV and Hazel McCrory, Willie Mae Watson, Lester and Alice Rowland, his grandfather, Jerry Joe Rowland, Sr., and younger cousin he loved dearly, Justin Neal. A TIME TO SERVE: Master Sergeant Keith D. Rowland entered the United States Air Force in January 2003. Following graduation from Basic Military Training at Lackland AFB, TX, he then went through supplemental training at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ. In 2003, he was assigned to the 23rd Maintenance Squadron, Pope AFB, NC. In 2007, the 23rd Fighter Aircraft Maintenance Squadron left Pope AFB and moved to Moody AFB, GA. On June 8, 2009, Sergeant Rowland left active-duty status with the rank of Staff Sergeant and transitioned into the reserve with the newly formed 476th Maintenance Squadron. In 2014, he was promoted to the rank of Technical Sergeant, then in August 2018, Sergeant Rowland was promoted to the rank of Master Sergeant and was selected for the position of APG Flight Chief. From 2005-2014, he deployed to Afghanistan 5 times in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He was deployed to Afghanistan in support of and in 2015 deployed to Turkey in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel. Master Sergeant Rowland’s list of Awards and Decorations include: Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Meritorious Unit Award, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Air Reserve Meritorious Service Medal, National Defense Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service Award, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Air Force NCO Professional Military Graduate, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, Air Force Training Ribbon, and NATO Medal. At bootcamp, he met his second “brother from another mother,” AJ. Keith made military life easier for several of his fellow airmen through laughter. He built lifelong relationships and met his brothers, Banks, Cooky, Mike, and Quinn. A TIME TO DIE: On Tuesday, November 9, 2021, God called our beloved Keith to his heavenly home. Without fear, he answered the call. He gained his eternal wings on that day… He flew, He fought, and HE WON! A TIME TO MOURN: Keith leaves to mourn his passing: his wife, Leticia “Tee” Rowland; children, Lorisha (Elvin) Corea, Daysha Timbresa, Tristan Rowland, and Trianna Rowland; godchildren, William Alamo III and Christopher Alamo; father, Jerry (Barbara) Rowland, Jr; mother, Seconda (John) Foster; brother, Terrance Rowland; brothers, Andres (Ericka) Araujo, Dionte (Electa) Askew, Joel (Amy) Banks, Nathaniel Cook, Michael (Joselyn) Holmes, Quinn Kalen, David Moore, and Chris (Stephanie) Tuss; grandparents, Yvonne McCrory and Ruby Rowland; great uncles, Nathaniel (Gail) McCrory and Lester (Christine) Rowland; uncles, James Neal, Ken Taylor, Terrance James, Sterling Rowland, and Micah Rowland; great aunts, Lynette (King) Keliiwaiwaiole, Jean Huddleston, Ida Mae Chaney, Ann Brown, Ruth McClendon, and Ann Wright; aunts, Carmen (Charles) Woods, Kimberly (William) Alamo, Melissa Rowland Skoog, Tara Rowland, Tabitha (Randy) Rowland-McClarity, and Courtney Rowland; his brothers-in-law, William (Soso) Sodaria, Jason (Kaori), Ikaika (Sina) Timbresa, and Dayton (Maka) Timbresa; sister-in-law, Dayna Timbresa; his Moody Air Force Base family; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
