Walk in the light, beautiful light. Come where the dewdrops of mercy shine bright. Shine all around us by day and by night, Jesus is the light of the world. 

It is with sincere sympathy that Gatlin Mortuary, Inc. announces the passing of the late Marquis Woodson . Born on January 17, 1999, the shined all around him by day and by night, it was Jesus is the light of the world. Marquis, followed that light and entered into sweet rest on January 19, 2025.

The Woodson family would like to express their extreme gratitude for the support and encouragement that has been extended toward them. It was an honor to share Marquis with those who loved him. Please know that every gesture has been recognized and appreciated. Please continue to keep us lifted in prayers, as we navigate life without him. Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” John 8:12

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 3:00 pm from the sanctuary of Joyful Sound Ministries.  Mr. James Gatlin Sr., and the caring and experienced professionals at Gatlin Mortuary, Inc., is in charge of services. Public viewing will be held on February 7, 2025 at Gatlin Mortuary from  3 pm to 5 pm. "The Name You Can Trust"
