In humble submission to the will of God , Gatlin Mortuary  announces the earthly transition of Mr. Matthew Washington.

Matthew was born on December 10, 1973, to Babara Jean White and the
late Nathaniel Washington Sr. “Matt “was known for his humorous personality. He had a
way of turning every moment into comedy. His humor made every room lighter, every
moment brighter, and every gathering better just by his presence. His favorite line, I’m
getting old myself” reminds us to laugh first and worry later. His jokes, his joy, and his
spirit will never be forgotten.  Services for Matthew Washington will be held on Saturday January 31, 2026 at Union Cathedral  1050 E. Hill Ave  at 2:00 pm Internment at Sunset Hill Cemetery

Public Viewing will be held on Friday January 30,2026 from 1-6 pm at Gatlin Mortuary
