The Measure of a Man: Not--"How did he die?" But--"How did he live?" Not--"What did he gain?" But--"What did he give?" These are the units to measure the worth Of a man as a man, regardless of birth. Not--"What was his station?" But--"Had he a heart?" And--"How did he play his God-given part? Was he ever ready with a word of good cheer, To bring back a smile, to banish a tear?" Not--"What was his church?" Nor--"What was his creed?" But--"Had he befriended those really in need?" Not--"What did the sketch in the newspaper say?" But--"How many were sorry when he passed away?"

It is with profound sorrow, that we the Owners, Management and Staff at Gatlin Mortuary, Inc. stand alongside the Sinclair Family, to announce the earthly transition of Mr. Dameon Rashod Sinclair. 

DAMEON RASHOD SINCLAIR came busting into this world joyfully on August 15, 1995, his parents were blessed with their Baby King. As fate would have it, Life is but a stopping place. A pause in what's to be. A resting place along the road, to sweet eternity. We all have different journey's, different paths along the way. We all were meant to learn somethings, but never meant to stay. On Saturday, May 6, 2023, God dispatched his angels to usher Dameon from this side of life. While his reign may have been short, his legacy will continue to live throughout eternity. 

Dameon leaves to cherish his memories with: His Mother, Aldrena Rudolph; Father, Alphonzo (Denise) Sinclair; His Children, Jordan Sinclair and Jesse Wright; His Wife By Common Law, Shanick Wright-Sinclair; His Grandmother, Hazetta Ennis; His Grandfather, Jimmy Sinclair; His Aunts, Alicia (Sammie) Evans, and Sharlene (Ervin) Riley. 

 With our deepest gratitude and appreciation, we extend our heartfelt thanks for the many expressions of love and sympathy you have shown during this difficult time. Thank you for the many prayers, phone calls, text messages, and visits, We are truly thankful.

Funeral Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Dameon Rashod Sinclair will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 11:00 AM from the Emanuel Missionary Baptist Church, Dr. Ronnie Mathis will be the officiating minister. Mr. James Gatlin Sr., and the caring and experienced professionals at Gatlin Mortuary, Inc., is in charge of services. "The Name You Can Trust"

Public Viewing will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023 at James Graham Mortuary in Jacksonville, Florida from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
