It is with profound sorrow, We the Owners, Management and Staff at Gatlin Mortuary Inc. stand along side the Conaway family as we announce the earthly transition of MR. OTIS LANAR CONAWAY age 52  who transitioned into eternal rest on Tuesday October 20, 2020 at his residence.

Mr. Otis Lanard Conaway Sr, the beloved son of Henry Curtis Myers and Annie Powell was born on January 9, 1968 in Valdosta Ga. He attended the Valdosta Public School System and graduated from Valdosta High School. He was a die-hard football player and Wildcats fan. He was a member of the Magnolia Baptist Church. 

He was preceded in death by his step father Freddie Lee Powell; grandparents, Robert and Helen Myers and Willie James and Christell Conaway. 

He departed this life October 20, 2020. His loving and caring ways gained the love and respect of so many beautiful people.

He leaves many memories and to mourn his absence a beloved father, Henry Curtis Myers; a loving mother, Annie Powell; God-mother, Ada Davis; two sons, Otis Conaway Jr., and Jeremiah Conaway; In addition to this circle of two, The Blessings of GOD ALLOWED Otis to father 3 more children: Adrian Billoups, Regina Johnson, and Larry Billoups; one grandson, King Conaway and one granddaughter, Mackenzie Pride; two brothers, Enrique Myers (Lavonda) and DowonLaws; seven sisters, Angela Lowe, Vanessa Marshall, Beverly Francis (Barry), Chasity Wilson, VateshiaHolsendolph, Chrystal Jackson (Troy) and Tracy Myers; nine uncles, Robert Myers Jr (Yvonne), Wiley C. Myers (Gloria), James L. Myers (Pearl), HerbertMyers (Marion), Roy Myers,  Ellis McGee (Bea), Wille James Conaway (Pam), John Conaway (Elnora), Joe Conaway (Loretha); eight aunts, Annie Jewell Collins, Sarah Ashley (Joe), Betty Bell, Laverne Childs, Helen Brown (Israel), Emma Holmes, JaniceSanders, Denease Oliver, and Carolyn Conaway. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. An extended family, the Foster family; A very special friend, Shirley Berrien; four very close friends who were considered brothers; Zack Davis, James Stokes, Coy Bullock, and Wilburt Crawford.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Magnolia Baptist Church in Hahira, Georgia at 1 p.m. Pastor Tony Jackson will officiate and internment will follow in the Troopville Cemetery. 
 

Public viewing will be held on Tuesday October 27, 2020 from 12 noon - 8 p.m. at Gatlin Mortuary Inc. 
 

Masks are required to attend the funeral service and public viewing.
