Therisie Moore Obituary

 

I heard the voice of Jesus say,  “Come unto me and rest; lay down, O weary one, lay down your head upon my breast."

Therisie Moore was born on December 1, 1958, in Valdosta,Georgia. She was educated in Valdosta City Schools. Therisie enjoyed working as a nail technician, but gave that up to
be a devoted housewife and mother shortly after marrying Connell Moore.She attended New Hope Baptist Church in Valdosta until moving to Orlando, Florida, where her church home was Mount Sinai Baptist Church.
She opened her own soul food restaurant in 2015, which she named after her mother, called “Mother Dear’s Soul Food”. Therisie is preceded in death by: her daughter, Neffertiti Adams, when she was only a few weeks old; mother, Lillian Adams; biological father, Oscar E. Adams, Sr.; grandparents, Georgia and Lucious Green; paternal grandmother, Jurell Hoskin Adams; paternal grandfather, Gile Starlings; sister, Desiaree Adams Hayes; and brother, Thurmond Davis Adams.She leaves to mourn: her devoted husband of thirty years, Connell Moore of Orlando, Florida; a devoted stepfather, Mr. Maxwell (Sonny) Corbett (Sarah) of Tampa, Florida; two stepdaughters who had been in her life since they were toddlers, Conmesha Moore of
Seneca, SC, and Zakiyyah Weatherspoon (Arthur) of Valdosta, Georgia; one adopted son, Jatavis Adams of Orlando; one adopted daughter, Isabella Moore of Orlando; grandchildren, Zyon Lane, Zakoya Weatherspoon, Jamya Daniels of New York, Janay Daniels of New York, Kayden Moody, Za’Riya Weatherspoon, Brandon Weatherspoon, Malik Patrick, Armarion Weatherspoon, Arthur Weatherspoon IV, Danni Vickers, Kasyn Berrian, Kadyn Berrian, and Khamil Murphy; great-grandchild, Bailee Weatherspoon of Albany, GA; sisters, Shirley Moore (Claude) and Chequita Adams Burgman (Calvin); brothers, Oscar Adams (Linder) and Gary Adamsof Albany, GA; brothers-in-law, Henry Moore, Marcus Williams, Sedric Williams, Calvin Moore (Kashona), Anthony Moore, and Willie Moore; sisters-in-law, Delbra Major (Earnest), Shirley Kelly (Michael), Latonya Salter (Tracy), and Shalonda Davis (Carlos);devoted uncle, Jerry Green; two devoted nieces, Teneshia Adams and Desiaree Jenkins; and devoted cousin, Auntie Judy Lester Hutchins.

Graveside service will be held on June 20, 2020 at Pallbearers Cemetery @ 2 p.m. Public Visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00 noon- 7 p.m.
