Willie Lee McGee Jr. departed this life on July, 17 2021 in Rochester N.Y. He was born on August 28, 1969, in Valdosta, Georgia. He was the son of Willie Lee McGee Sr and Gloria Holman. He was known to family and friends as” Big Will “Lee” “Big Man”
Big Will was a hardworking man of many skills, wisdom, and knowledge, a devoted loving husband and father. He moved to Rochester N.Y. In 1994 where he later married Sarah Rayam in 1995.He was well known for his signature southern foods, community gatherings, always showing love making up new “lingos” so humorous and so full of life. He could shift the atmosphere from heaviness to laughter when he entered the room. A Teacher, Leader, and man of standards. Willie was loved by his family, friends, wife, and children.
Willie leaves to cherish his memories: Father Willie Lee McGee Sr. (Mildred) and Mother Gloria Holman, a devoted and loving Wife, Sarah D. McGee; twelve children: Seven McGee of Eugene Oregon, Shaquado Brown, Gloria McGee (Elijah Thompson) ,Leeanna McGee, Shakiea Brown, Fabrielle McGee, Santos Colon all of Rochester NY, Tyrone Brinson of Forte Valley GA, Alexis McGee, Romance McGee, and Larry McGee all of Valdosta GA and Porchia Delkler of Charleston SC. Siblings: LaTonia Marshall (Randy) of Navarre, Fl. Kevin(Margaret) McGee, BaJah (Omare) Williams, Dexter McGee, Zion McGee, David McGee, Izzy McGee, Tamela Brown, Tracy McGee, Lakeshia Matchett, Bryant McGee, all of Valdosta Ga; and Tony(Taryn)Ellis of Atlanta Georgia others. Eight grandchildren, Five God children Michael Brock, Marquette Stewart, Michelle Brock, Kasandra Brock, and David Brock. Special friends Eddie and Jocelyn Evans and Josue and Nakesha Torres. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and all of whom loved him dearly.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Serenity Christian Church @ 12 noon. Pastor Jay Williams is the Pastor and Rev. Dr. Brendan Sweeper will officiate. Interment will follow in the Pallbearer Cemetery. Public Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Gatlin Mortuary Inc.
