Mr. Xxavier "Zay" Bines was born on October 11, 1988, to Mr. MJ Johnson and the late Linda Bines Bivins. He was educated in the Valdosta city school system. He started doing hair at a very early age, and before his death, he was one of the best in the city. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Bines Bivins; grandmother, Gloria Thomas; great-grandmother, Ida Anderson; aunts, Arnita Bines and Darlene Robinson; and uncle, Eric Bines Zay leaves mourning his death: his siblings, Erica Thomas, Bianca Bivins, Sherri Bivins, Keisha Bivins, Martika Bivins, Andrae Olivares, Fairy Stewart, Jamari Johnson, Sierra Dankenbring, Cheyenne Johnson, Cherokee Johnson, and Timaya Wright; father, MJ (Teresa) Johnson; grandmother, Betty Mitchell; aunts, Symanthia (Lindell) Monigan, Lavern Bines, Regina Wrice, Marcia Johnson, and Antoinette (Reggie) Jones; uncles, Terrell Randolph and Tony (Krystal) Yearby; nieces and nephews who he loved with all his heart, Sa'Varion, Sa'Hari, Sa'Mya, Serenity, Amariya, Gabriel Jr., Usef, Demetriana, and D'mere; godchildren, Kashunna Norton, Arteria Nelson, and Caden Casey; godparents, Clarece Hundley, Pamela (Michael) Marshall, and Gail Nelson; godsisters, Marketta McQueen, Arkerba Dawson, and Jimika Galloway; special friend, Charnique Norton; his 610 sistas and family; and a host of cousins, other uncles, aunts, and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2022 at Crossing Jordan Church @ 3 p.m. Dr. Mathis is the Pastor and Pastor Bernard Robinson will officiate. Internment will follow in the Pallbearers Cemetery. Public Visitation will be held on Friday, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
